Street Real Estate was established 25 years ago by brothers Terry and Max Street. The business operated from premises in Hunter Street, Newcastle and engaged primarily in residential and commercial sales, medium density development and residential property management.
The family business expanded rapidly, and expertise broadened to include surplus asset disposal for government and private enterprise, project marketing of both apartments and land, industrial sales and development consultancy, and commercial property management.
Andrew Walker, Street Real Estate's principal, became a partner in the business in 1996 having commenced work as the junior residential salesman in 1985 and assumed sole proprietorship in 2002 upon the retirement of both Terry and Max Street.
Street Real Estate acquired Hazelton Street Real Estate in 2000, a dominant suburban practice in the Dudley / Whitebridge area and Blackbutt Street Real Estate in 2004, located in another affluent residential region covering New Lambton and New Lambton Heights.
Street Property Group currently employs sixteen salespeople and a support staff of six including a graphic designer (in house). The Management Division manages in excess of seven hundred and fifty properties with a staff of six.
